"You don't seem to have a crush on anyone - maybe me, though."

Things were getting under control, in Lucy's opinion. Mary Ann seemed to have given up her plan to take over camp by force and now was quite a nice red color.Lucy smiled, this time it was more triumphant than devious. Just letting Mason talk with his blunt way was a clever plan.

I glared at Lucy. I wondered if I could make her jealous if I asked out Mary Ann/Satsuki on a..."date." I looked back at the girl. "What should we call you?"

Lucy was surprised at the ferocity of Mason's glare. From all the years of knowing him, he had always struck her as a shy kid. Anger was not something that she associated him with.

Her smile faded slightly as she stood there silently. She didn't know why she was so opposed to befriending this girl, although she did seem a bit selfish.

"Satsuki? You sound scottish. Where'd you get that name?" Lucy said, not really able to not. She didn't mean her question rudely, but it kind of sounded as if she was making fun of her.

I quickly stopped the birth of another arguement. "Hey, guys, want to go explore camp?"

There was malice in that question. "II am named after my grandmother, and at least my name is real." She said, a bit icily. This girl had gotten back on her nerves again.

I sighed, and decided it came to this point. I created a small earthquake, hoping it would work and throw them off of their feet.

Lucy did not shriek, much to her happiness, but she did fall over. Remembering a Greek Mythology unit back in school, she remembered that Posiedon also presided over Earthquakes. Oh great. Mason was totally different now.

I realized the same exact thing as Lucy was probably realizing; I was totally different now. I then looked at Satsuki's glare, and it hit me; it was like my mother's. Oh, Mom, I missed her already. I went over to help Lucy up. I held my arm out, and my stomach growled. Pizza.

Lucy would have shoved him away, but that would have been rude. She smiled sweetly once she was up, and studied Marry- no Satsuki's face. The look reminded her of her mother, while her features reminded her of Mason's. Mason's mother, Brooke, was nicer to Lucy than her own.

I put my hand up. "Me! Me! Oh, I'm so hungry. Please, let's go to the Mess Hall! Pizza! Now! Please?" I put on my best puppy face, but it was pretty ugly. My stomach growled more, and I scowled. I wanted to stab my stomach, but that would be a stupid thing that only someone like Jason Grace or Piper McClean would do.

Lucy actually was liking the less woeeied Mason better. She decided that it was the sudden loss of school stress, as he was in the worst grade of that school currently. "I'll come along." She said, back to her cheery self. She was going to be civil to Satsuki if it killed her.

"Then, alright! What are we waiting for?" I felt a lot easier, and not very worried much anymore. I didn't know why, I just felt like with the combination of the camp, no school, Lucy, and my new...well, friend, I guess, I didn't have anything to worry about. But that was probably where I was wrong.
